From a batch of emails, released by House Republicans, which show officials tied to failed solar company Solyndra discussing their efforts to get a Department of Energy loan. Vice President Joe Biden’s office, the emails noted, seemed excited about the company.

The White House, responding to the emails, has said that the documents were cherry-picked by Republicans and nothing contained in them indicates “any favoritism to political supporters.”
